Philly Special Roast

I’ve been a coffee drinker for many years and have always enjoyed it. I saw a Facebook post from the Audubon society recently encouraging coffee drinkers to support shade coffee growers in order to prevent deforestation that impacts the wild bird populations. This coffee is the best coffee I’ve ever had. I just ordered my second 2lb. bag!

I was given a bag of Philly Special Roast as a gift from a friend who visited Golden Valley Farms. Previous to trying it, my husband would pick-up our morning coffee at our local Dunkin. Part of Dunkin's lure is the fact that they make a huge fuss over our "rescue" dog who sits very properly at the window behind my husband. The employees rush to the window to see him and they provide "munchkins" to the salivating pup. One day when my husband wasn't available to deliver my coffee to me, I dusted off my french press and gave the Philly Special Roast a try. Nuff said! No more Dunkin runs on my behalf! This tastes like coffee...I've never been a fan of drinking my coffee black until now. It has a great taste that I don't want to alter with milk, almond milk or oat milk...and the caffeine keeps me going all day! I've decided to be a mail order customer....now if you could just include a treat for my dog in each box I order, our "rescue" dog would be as happy as I am!
